Proverbs 16:9

A man’s heart deviseth his ways; but the Lord directeth his steps.

My Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank you for guiding me through all things despite my foolishness.  You know all my sorrowful ways, and yet, you continue to love me in spite of them.  Father, continue to touch my heart and bring me to a right understanding of your gracious love!  Direct my steps that I may give all honour and glory to your name.  Amen.

Proverbs 28:20

A faithful man will abound with blessings

Waiting is our destiny as creatures who cannot by themselves bring about what they hope for.  We wait in the darkness for a flame we cannot light, we wait in fear for a happy ending we cannot write.  We wait for a “not yet” that feels like a “not even.”  Waiting is the hardest work of hope.
